Free to Good/Bad/Worse/Indifferent Home Laptop
Thinkpad TP720

The Good:
It's a laptop

The Bad:
120 MB Hard drive ESDI
8 MB RAM
floppy drive


The ugly
IBM MicroChannel (MCA)

The cpu is an IBM 486SLC2 50/25MHz (16KB cache), and a math coprocessor socket for a 25MHz 80387SL is on the bottom of the system.

There is no math coprocessor or power supply. I've yet to boot it up, I'll try it at home later to see if it works. If you're really interested you pay shipping.

That thing has some technology in it, that Thank GOD never survived into the modern age.

I think you should come up with unique way to destroy it, on video of course.

A buddy of mine built one for his kid. They have it tripod mounted so he can fire it. Otherwise I think he'd go farther than the potato. I've been thinking about building a pnumatic tennis ball motivator. It's kinda far down the list of stuff I want to built at the moment though.
