oops. well anyway it's pretty cool. i'm going to build one of these after my next visit to the chinese grocery store. i have i feeling it's going to kick the bazooka cantenna's butt.

Well if you really want to kick butt, use your cantenna as the feed for your parabolic antenna. That should add several dB gain (at worst), but it would be a bit more cumbersome.

a cantenna would work w/ a big dish but for one of these chinese strainers it's too big and would block the reflector too much.

There's talk on the site of using a biquad feed. I don't know if this would suffer from the same problems. Biquads are, however, smaller than a cantenna.
