54G bridging ? - NetStumbler.org Forums

Stumblebum Street Stumbler Join Date: May 2002 Posts: 27	54G bridging ? I have an annual event that I set up a small wireless network for. Last year I use WAP11's in Bridge mode. They worked good enough so everybody was happy with the performance. The point to point network carries some high throughput stuff....streaming .jpg's. I want to try some higher throughput devices this year. Has anyone messed with the WAP54G stuff yet? Last year I was getting about 5-6 mB throughtput out of the 11's. If I could get that to 25-30 mb this stuff would scream. I'd like to use these in bridge mode as that is the mode I used last year. Has anyone had any luck with the higher BW side of these? Who has good directional antennas for this band? Thanks in advance for comments SB
