Aironet 350 issues
Howdy,
I sincerely hope someone can help. I have four Cisco Aironet 350 bridges which connect 3 remote networks to my central office LAN. One omnidirectional high gain mast at the root and directional antennae at the remote sites. All sites are between 1 & 3 km from the root. Signal quality is good on all links, (60-80%) but noise levels are VERY high on all channels. *Also running VOIP (connecting 2 Panasonioc Hyprd PBX's over the Aironet link) sometimes works, mostly not. My problem is this: VERY high noise levels on all frequencies. When I set the Bridges to "Search for less congested channel" they never find one. Am currently using 2432 (channel5) which seems to work better than the rest. In Tanzania telephone connections are all wireless (also 2.4Ghz) Each set of 4 houses share a wireless link to TTCL (Tanzania telecommunications). I've tried Breezenet and Cisco (2.4), both are pretty useless in this environment. Simply too much noise in the 2.4 range. Only option is to move to 5ghz? any ideas? |
