Antenna adapter on a Proxim A/B Silver Combo Card

I peeled back the sticker on my card and I found something that appears to be an antenna connection... is it? From what everyone has been saying this card shouldn't have one.

Is that the 8461-05 card, and if so how have you gotten it to work with NS?

I agree, I imagine that, if it is an antenna, it would be for 802.11b. Definatly give it a go.

It's unsupported. Only black magic and a monkeys brain on a stick can get it to work. Buy a classic B only model.

Do NOT embedded large files like that again. Links are fine.

Sorry... didn't see that rule

To others: It won't work at ALL in NS for me, which is what I bought the card for. I figured since it was "orinoco" it would work great, but I guess not.

It's not so much a rule as common sense. 90% of the US ,not to mention the rest of the world, is still on 56k (or slower) dialup, so embedding huge files on slows this page load down proprotionally; to something on the order of a 10-15 minute load time.

In the future, just take the time to edit. A 50-100k picture can still contain a lot of info, yet not take a lifetime to download.

That's the confusing world of coperate take overs and product re-naming. A classic trick, buy a good name, and use it to sell crap. D'oh. It's caught out many people here before.
