Antenna Location on Car

I got the stumbler kit, ok.... I need to know what the best postion on my car is for the antenna. I get the best results on top of the car w/ my cell antenna up there. I put the antenna on the trunk and picked up almost half the antennas I picked up before, why?

I don't think that has been convered so if we could get a discussion going, well hmmm.... that would be nice..

the answer to that would be the amount of surface area that the antenna can use, there's more on top of the car than there is on the trunk lid.
