Antenna that might work on a Axim X51V
Since the Axim does not have a external antenna connector I was wondering
if there are any external antennas that might offer a method of coupling the RF radiated from the internal antenna. Passive coupler to coax with external antenna. thanks |

It can be done, although you'd probably have to design your own. I've seen such designs for other bands, specifically I recall seeing one for GPS receivers. Google for similar devices, and you may get lucky and find one for the ISM band. Otherwise, you'll have to adapt one for 2.4GHz. Most such devices use an "inductive coil" as the coupler, so you might want to include those words in at least some of your searches.

I'm pretty sure it has a u-fl connector in it. I could be wrong though, I only had mine for a week.
Yep, I was wrong... You could try this though. http://pdaclub.pl/forum/viewtopic.ph...er=asc&start=0

External antenna for Pocket PC
I once had a cell phone exteranl antenna that connected to the cell
phone by small cylinder that went over the built in antenna and coupled the energy to the external antenna. This worked better than the build in antenna. Do they make such a thing that could be used for Pocket PCs with no external connector? thanks |
