antenna rig idea of sorts
i recently procured a mini dish antenna designed for DISH TV from a friend and although its feedhorn is for the DISH TV freqs... from talking some Ham'ers I know they said all I would need is to rig up an antenna element in front of the dish to catch the signals.
What I would like to try is rig up a small Cantenna (see the summer edition of 2600 magazine) using a coffee can and aim it BACK at the dish.. like a refracting telescope. Has anyone done this sort of thing to see if it will offer some advantage to a plain ole cantenna? |
