Anyone else have a YDI amplifier?
I've got one of these YDI (now Terabeam Wireless) amplifiers, the one on the top of this page:
http://www.terabeam.com/solutions/ne...amplifiers.php It was given to me by a friend that used to work in wireless network installations and has the DC injector built into the case. To test it out, I hooked it up to a D-link router (just the router, no modem or anything connected to it) and was able to get the TX light to flash but the RX light stays on constantly. Does this mean my amplifier is not working correctly or does the RX light stay on constantly? This thing has been pretty hacked up in the past and its previous use was with a X10 camera, which caused the RX light to go off and the TX light to come on when the camera was powered. I redid the input connector, screwed up on the first try, and when i first hooked up the router, it would do the same thing as the X10 camera did. When I finally "fixed" it, I got to the point where I am now. Damn, sorry if this is confusing. Anyways, is my thing broken or not? |
