AP across multiple channels
Hi guys,
First time post here - wondering if someone could clarify something for me? I came across netstumbler today, in my search to find out why my wireless was playing up badly of late(ACtually got wireless and also using a wireless bridge in ad-hoc mode to connect a non wireless device). As expected I was sharing a channel with something else. However I'm noticing some strange behaviour, I moved my wirless bridge onto a fresh channel and also same with my wireless LAN and I notice another wireless AP poin that seems to be regisetring on multiple AP's continually, including the two channels I'm using. No matter which channel I choose I always seem to see it appear (The channel names flick between my SSID and this other one - labbelled BTHomrHub if that makes things any clearer). What could be causing this or am I missing something blindingly obvious? |

Let me take a SWAG here based on the symptoms you're describing : you're connected to your network through the wireless NIC, while using NetStumbler.
If that is so, disconnect from the network, unbind TCP from the WiFi adapter, then start NS. Just as described in the documentation. Dutch

The fix is to buy supported hardware.
