Avaya Gold Card
Hi gang,

I got the Avaya Gold card from lanstreet.com. It works fine with an external mag mount unity gain antenna. I have noticed over the last couple of times I have been using it, a percieved degradation of recieved signal.

I checked all the connections and cables..OK

Has this happened to anyone else?

Can I load Orinoco drivers and firmware for use with this card? And would this help my recieve perk up?

antenna
I would check your antenna connections. What kind of mount & antenna are you running? With a unity gain... it's probably better that the antenna on the seat (in your laptop) but you are better off with a gain antenna. If you are running the Motorola MNO (3/4") mount, then maxrad sells a 5dbd gain antenna for about $20 bux.... works real good!@
