Do those antennas come off? (i.e. unscrew, twist off, etc.)

If so, you can most likely get an adapter (pigtail) from Fab corp. I got one for my Linksys router so I could attach an different antenna to one of the antenna jacks.

As to which antenna to use, it shouldn't matter as long as you have the access point set for "diversity". Diversity sets the firmware to use the antenna with the stongest signal.

I'm not familiar with the Belkin so I'm speaking from other experiences. I assume you can access and configure this thing via a web interface or perhaps their own software. If you don't see anything in there pertaining to the antennas then I would ask around and see if it is using diversity or not. If it isn't, then I'm not sure what the purpose of two antennas is.

If I had to guess, I would say it doesn't matter which antenna you stick your omni on.

Good guess. This thing looks like an access point, but it's actually a USB adapter and there is no antenna setting in the management software.

gary623: A diversity antenna configuration will automatically select the antenna with the best signal, so it shouldn't matter where you attach the antenna. Some access points have an antenna selection feature for those who need to select a particular antenna.
