Belkin wireless card Help..
I just got a Belkin F5D6020 "Version 2" card. Which was not the same Belkin F5D6020 my neighbor got. His works fine with netsumbler and Linux.
My version 2 card likes to fall asleep after a few minutes of successful stumbling. Belkin claims that the only difference is a newer driver and it now uses a prism 2.0 chipset? When I run the prism test utility on the neighbors card it works fine.. On mine.. it won't even detect the card. Also even tho I have installed the current WLAN in linux I am not able to enable this card. Does anyone have one of these cards? You can identify the version 2 by if it has a led on each edge of the card. I think the old version only had one led. Any help with the following would be great. 1. Get the card not to fall asleep when using netstumbler. 2. Get it working with Linux.. 3. Any helpful information.. Thanks. Rick |
