Best pcmcia card for use with netstumbler?
Hello,
I recently a purchased a Dell 8200 and a Cisco 340 pcmcia card that works great with my Cisco BSE342. I installed netstumbler when I got my wireless connection setup and it detected my AP fine. For giggles, I went on a war-drive last night just to see what I could find and came up empty. I figured that I just didn't drive past any APs so I gave up and went home. As I turned onto my block, I noticed my nic established a connection to my home AP but, netstumbler never saw it. Netstumbler has not been able to pick up the my BSE342 since I set it up. Am I doing something wrong or should I get a better nic? I have done some reading here and it seems that people do not hold the cisco gear in very high regard. If I need to get a better nic, what would you guys suggest? Thanks, Chris P.S. I also found out that my BSE342 does not support RADIUS authentication. Anyone here know a good AP that does? |
