Best Performing USB Adapter - Recommendations

Hello.

I have searched the forums and discovered that there are many wireless b/g adapters that work with NS 0.4.0, but apparently to varying degrees of performance. Does anyone have a recommendation of one or two particular models that have solid drivers, solid vendor support (driver updates, etc.), NS performance (not just NDIS 5.1) and is a USB "stick" type form factor?

Thanks.

Yes I did, thank you.

I was hoping to get a recommendation from the gurus here as to which of the USB NICs listed perform better than the others. My only 'hard' requirement is that it have a USB interface that doesn't require a cable.

For example, is the Linksys USB NIC better than Netgear's for NS 0.4.0? I guess I'm making an assumption that most of the NS guru tend to lean towards one or two brands or models over the others. Or that one or two brands have a more sensitive receive, or better drivers, or reliability.

If worse comes to worse, I'll pick one on the compat list. I was hoping for someone to identify a clear winner of the ones listed though (given the USB stick requirement).

--Thanks

Most, if not all of the NS guru's wouldn't go for any USB stick. Most, if not all of the NS gurus would lean towards a ORiNOCO Classic Gold card.
Why ? Because it is the ONLY fully supported card, where all features of NS is working correctly, on Win9x/2K/XP.

Thanks Dutch.

Would you know if the Orinoco Classic Gold PCMCIA card will work with NS 0.4.0 when connected via a USB-to-PCMCIA adapter? I've provided a link to an example of one below.

USB to PCMCIA

The reason I need USB is that I believe the PCMCIA slots in the laptop I must use are broken. I would either need to use a USB NIC or PCMCIA card via a USB to PCMCIA adpater. I don't know if the USB adapter will confuse NS.

--Thanks

I believe the scientists over at Muppet labs have one of those currently on order for testing porpoises. He's going to post a report once he receives and thoroughly tests it.
