That looks like a Hirose U-FL. Search the forum and you'll find info about why it's not a good candidate for adding an external antenna.

The Cat's Correct.. This is a U.fl Hirose connector.
Check with the boyz of at Fab-Corp, I believe they have a
pigtail for it. Also, this connector is not like the normal MMC/MMCX
connectors and is only rated for 4-5 Plug/Unplugs. The best thing
to do is to hotglue the pigtail onto the card after the cable is
connected ant not remove it..

the U.Fl's are used a lot on mini-pci cards, right?

I had to change one of those out for a lady recently, is the mating connector on the antenna quite as fragile?

I have a similar connector mystery

I just bought a Proxim Orinoco Gold card and it has a similar antenna conector. Just slightly smaller than a MMCX I think. Is this the same? I had planned on attaching an N pigtail for good and had even though of using 4 inches of teflon coax direct from the PC board. What would be the ideal besides putting this back on eBay?

Thanks!

Is this a card with a user accessable antenna connector? If so then it is probably their standard MC connector.

Does it look like these?

Is it the A/B card you are talking about in the other thread?
