Canesta Keyboard
This will be pretty sweet for the gadget-lovin PDA owners once it is released. Of course it will probably have to be integrated by the manufacturer.
Looks pretty slick though. Canesta Keyboard (View the Clip!)

i dunno about this. looks k00l at first but i doubt it'll ever catch on because:
1) there's no tactile feedback. it has the same problem as the universal remote simulators and the PDA phones. you can't feel where the buttons are so you have to always be looking at them. and even when you look at your fingers your speed of typing will be hampered by the lack of feedback since your fingers can't tell where the edges of the keys are. 2) lighting problems. can you see this thing in bright light like say, outdoors?

lincomatic, don't spoil it!... if the crew on star trek doesn't require tacticle feedback, neither do i!... if it came with a free start trek uniform, I would get it in a second!
lt cmdr data sure can type fast, though if I were him/it I would surely use my wifi to chat with the computer instead of using a keyboard panel ![]()

if ya like canesta maybe you'd like the virtual keypad that was demoed @ comdex last yr. you wear some rings on your fingers and then just move your fingers in the air like you're punching a virtual phone keypad. looks pretty dorky walking on the street doing it though, and since it was based on a telephone keypad it was as slow as doing SMS on a phone....but what i liked is you can do it on the move.
