Card Advice

I realise that many of you have probably heard this before but i was wondering if you knew of any cards that utilise the prism 2 chipset, support both B & G networks, and has an external plug for an antenna. I need it for a laptop. Any advice on something of good quality. I was looking at the orinoco cards but they only seem to support the B technology

This has been discussed ad nausum. Please search.

Breifly, there are lots of cards that fit that description, but NONE will work 100% with NetStumbler. For 100% compatiblity with NetStumbler, you must use an ORiNOCO Classic card. This is why must of us here who deal with wireless on a professional level have multiple cards.

This page has a fairly lengthy list of wireless cards and their respective chipsets. It also specifies a/b/g wlan type. Also, the comments block on the right side may refer to external antenna connectors if the card has one. That should give you a good start.

None. Prism2 chipset and 802.11g is mutually exclusive.
