Card to Antenna connections
Here's my situation, I'm not too educated on the gory technical details of deciBals and wavelengths and the like, I'm just trying to extend the range of my card and I'm having trouble figuring out how to actually connect an antenna to the NIC card (... that's a bit redundant, "NIC card" = Network Information Card card ... *shrugs*). I'd appreciate if people with working setups can post pics of the connection from the antenna to the card and an explanation of how it was done. And if anyone has links to existing explanations I'd greatly appreciate them too.

yeah...
yeah... maybe I over-reacted, sorry if your comment wasnt done in a "leeter-than-thou" mentality... back to the subject! I already asked for help w/ my specific card but it's a pretty obscure, cheap card. What I'm looking for is pics of the internal antennas and the connections to the external antennas so I know what I'm looking for and how to mod it.

D-Link DWL-650
Several Different Cards These came from a google search of "802.11b antenna solder". I suppose there are probably others. You need to figure out the chipset of your card and the layout of the pcb. Once that is done it just takes a steady hand and a fine soldering tip.
