CF 802.11b that accepts external antenna?

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a Compact Flash (CF) 802.11b card that accepts an external antenna (i.e. has a port for a pigtail?)

I'm trying to get a minimal setup going with a Dell Axim and PocketWarrior.

I have everything working, but I don't have enough gain to pull in signals except from rather close range.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

As far as I know only certain PCMCIA cards have an Ext.
Connector...

They are:

Lucent Silver
Lucent Gold
OEM Models of Cisco Aironet
OEM Senaro/Enginus Cards

Anything else and your going to need some soldering skills.

If that's the case, anyone have a FAQ on how/where to solder to a CF card?

That would depend on the CF card..
and if the PCB has tracks & pads to connect a connector
or cable to...

Post a pix of the guts of your card so we can check it out...

Thought I'd resurect this thread because I'm looking for one now too. I found this press release that says

Quote:
The Spectrum24 High Rate CF card comes in two form factors: with an integrated antenna for Type I CF extend slots in PDAs and an external antenna connecter for embedded device designs.
I have not been able to find that card anywhere though. Anyone have any luck?

Also, the built in antenna on some of the 3-com cards pops off to reveal external connectors (don't remember what type)

1. I thought the High Rate card are unsupported...

2. It's vaporware... Nobody else has found them either...
