cheap dwl900ap
office max has these advertised as $119, but in store they are actually $89. go to office max and pick up proof of price and go to
circuit city where they are $179. have them price match 110% and send in the $50 rebate that circuit city has on it. bought two of them already... final price after rebate around $36. |

<sigh> Just got back from my Office Depot. They only sell Linksys. I'll have to go out to Office Depot's site and see if the item is available for pickup in my area so I can see which OD carry it.

To get the 110% you need to buy it first and then go and ask for the price match. Make sure that you have a tag from Office MAX showing the current date.
Only one rebate per household and there is a disclaimer that this is not valid with "other offers" that may include price matching. I also came out with the feeling that this is a choose your own adventure game but being a geek I have been conditioned for such things. |

Yep, I just printed off the tag from here and went over to Circuit City and the salesperson called OfficeMax to verifiy the price and told me that he was required to honor it. He stated that the $50 rebate is still applicable and that I should have no problems.
Hey, I'm using my new $30.99 AP right now! --Chris |

it's $119 here
I stopped by the lcoal Office Max tonight, and they still had them, but for $119. Still not a bad price. I hadn't realized that this AP has a USB interface rather than Ethernet RJ45, so I passed. I'll pay a few more bucks for RJ45 instead of fooling around trying to get my linux firewall to work with USB.
I currently have an SMC AP plugged into my ethernet hub. I want to turn on WEP on it, and add another AP plugged directly to the firewall to provide public access for my neighbors and all you netstumblers.

doh!@#$
The Office Max here has been closed down for about a year so I'm SOL on this deal. MOST places will only match the price if it's a local competitor...local being within 5 mile radius is the general rule... I think the closest office max for me is close to 200mi ![]()

deal maybe got better..
officemax seems to be dropping their price on them again..
now $59 starting sunday.. if you can get circuit city to price match at this low of a price(i doubt it) after a $50 rebate it will be $9 your mileage may vary on this deal for sure... |
