Question Chispet of level on cards?

hi does someone know what chipset their cards use?

i heared that their cards use the prism chipset but the orinoco card manager should work?!??!?

Lightbulb my assumption

I am assuming that he is asking about a specific brand of cards...

Maybe 'Level on'... ? Level One? Something like that? Trobule is I cannot find any such wifi maker...

prism is prism... cant imagine that the hermes chipset tool works on it though...

Post I hate that...

You post something and then 2 seconds later realize that you found what you werew looking for...

Level One 802.11 Products... http://212.223.48.233/index2e.html

So far they dont mention the chipset anywhere on thier site, I downloaded the drivers which has the manual too, nothing htere either but the drivers seem consitant with prism installs...

yep, I found the prism references to drivers in part of thier driver install... pretty positive that thye are based on this chipset...

don't know where the guy got the information, but that's impossible. orinoco CM won't even talk to non-orinoco-branded lucent cards like avaya (avaya is a company that lucent spun off) just because it's looking for orinoco's device id.

I have noticed that if you install an orinoco card anc configure it with the manager, that it passes the config info to some cards. Netgear MA401 for example. I haven't specifically tested weather I could reconfigure the NG card, but now I guess I will need to do that.

btw, how do you like that netgear card? i just picked one up cheap for fun. is the sensitivity ok?
