Question Client isolation

Hi guys, I'm sorry to post in this area but I wasnt sure where I should do it and this seems one of the most active sections.

I was trying to get some information regarding the wireless client isolation feature which is now common to most new aps and wireless routers. Reading around I figured out that the radio driver blocks layer2 traffic withint the sta's assocaited with the ap. This means that I should consider my network a safe place where mitm attacks shouldnt be possible? Of course enabling encryption on the network is not a option.

Thanx in advance for your time and please forgive me for the off-topic.

Best,

nettie.

The "most active" does not forgive you for posting off-topic. Take a look at the Welcome Desk, read all the posts, stickies, and FAQs at least twice before you post again.

Moved.

As to the question, it seems he's buying the marketing BS that MIM attacks aren't possible even if there is no encryption.

Yeah, right.
If you believe that stuff, you might be interested in this bridge I have for sale. There's a nice view of Brooklyn from it.

Why yes, he was. Inside a shoebox. He sings all kinds of show tunes. I think he might be gay.

He always struck me as being rather happy all the time....

but the frog (as usually) was a prince! ..

The funny part is that I was just trying to be polite and to say the truth the "hardware" section doesnt seems the best place to me neither for this post, but that's just my personal opinion.

About the marketing adv stuff, I didnt read any of that. If you know how MITM attack works and if you know how client isolation works (blocks client to client traffic at the mac layer) I'm pretty sure that mine is a legit question.

Of course you can still sniff traffic in promisc mode gather the mac address and ip address of the box you would like to attack but once you connect to the ap the ap shouldnt forward traffic to the target. This is how I interpret that features.

Regarding your nasty words and stuff I think you guys just over raected, I should be upset but I understand my fault so if you think this is the best you can do well I really hope it was fun.

Best,

nettie

Umm, Ok, so you seem to know everything there is to know about your topic, so what was the point of your posting? I still don't see an actual question.

The frog is actually Bill Clinton. Kiss it once.

Shit, sell that damn bridge I had to cross to get into Staten Island. Talk about a train wreck in progress...
