Compaq Range Extender Antenna

Hi all.

I've been searching and searching on the net for somewhere to be able to order the compaq range extender antenna online, within the UK... and I'm not having much luck.

I know the orinico range extender is the same... but I want to be 100% sure it'll plug into my WL110... I know it's relabeled, etc... but just want to be sure.

So if anyone in the UK has brought one of these, or knows where I can order one online from in the UK (don't want to hafta import) then PLEASSSSSEEEE PLEEEASSSSSEEEEEE help me out!

URLs PLEASSSEEEE!

Many thanks...

FOUND IT, STOP LOOKING!

Found it! Stop looking, I said, stop looking!

dabs.com do a pretty good deal on the indoor orinico antenna and the compaq range extender, same product, but compaq seems to be priced more, got that one anyways, so feck it.

They ship to the UK and Eire and accept all major credit cards and most debit cards, so that's pretty cool.

So all in all in all, shelled out £84 for it. I shelled out £130 for my compaq card, probably got raped money wise but it's a neat card, and I'm not bothered, damn v.a.t. *&($%&*$

Anyways, it's on it's way in the post.

Thanks if you were about to reply.

I have the Cabletron version & it makes a heck of a
difference with NS. My stumble to work, with the antenna
inside the car clipped to the sunvisor, pulled in more
AP's that were not there with the lappy on the Passenger
seat !

Ahh What a hobby !

Which Cabeltron antenna did you get? Does it have a Lucent adapter or did you get a cable for it?

It's part#CSIBB-IA & it comes with the cable. It's
EXACTLY the same as the Wavelan/Compaq one. Kind of a
wiggley vertical plastic thing on a black plastic base.

Antenna

Yeah, the compaq / lucent range extender / indoor antenna are the same.

I thought I may as well get the compaq one for compatiblility, didn't wanna get the lucent and be like uh? And the compaq logo goes with my card too.

Anyways, yeah, it's like a weird bendy shape... and in photo's on the net, the antenna looks like a metre, when in fact it's like 30cm, or probably even less.

The cable is like 1.5 metre or so, which is enough to stick on your sun roof, dashboard, etc.

I admit, it beats having the lappy on the passenger seat. :P
