OK, as I understand repeaters, they take in WiFi signals and then re-broadcast WiFi signals. (Kind of... repeating what they hear... hmmm...
)What I want to do though, is make one AP take in a WiFi signal and then re-broadcast it to a LAN. Background: My house has a WiFi network connected to a cable modem. My neighbour's house has a CAT5 Network wired, but no Internet access. I want to share my cable modem with him. (Yeah, I know... the cable company hates me )Can anyone suggest a product or configuration of products that will work? Thanks in advance. Phoenix |

The device you want is called a wireless bridge. Both DLink and Linksys make inexpensive models. The Linksys model is the WET11. MSRP about $120. You'll need on one each wired segment.
============================= As far as the cable company hating you, be careful, and check your TOS. This type of link may be in violation of the TOS, and depending on local, state laws, and Federal laws may also constitute a Theft of Service or related criminal violation. (It may also be perfectly legal, but the odds are against it...) All in all, you'd be better to check the TOS and laws first.
