connector loss?
i found this page on radioactivenetworks documenting loss:
http://www.radio-active.net.au/web/80211/cable.html i've always been told that connectors lose 5.-1dB, but their chart shows a lot less: Connector Losses for 802.11 Type VSWR Frequency Loss (dB) Loss at 2.4 GHz (dB) BNC < 1.12 + 0.007F dc to 2 GHz <0.1F <0.24 N < 1.06 + 0.007F dc to 10 GHz <0.05F <0.12 TNC < 1.07 + 0.007F dc to 15 GHz <0.05F <0.12 SMA < 1.02 + 0.005F dc to 18 GHz <0.03F <0.07 SMB < 1.08 + 0.017F dc to 4 GHz <0.12F <0.29 SMC < 1.08 + 0.017F dc to 10 GHz <0.06F <0.14 is this correct? and when there is a junction (n-male->n-female) do i double the loss value, or is this taken into acct?
