Connectors and Cables

Some info please;

Have seacrched the Forum and the Net but cannot find a guide on how to fit an N Connector, pretty basic stuff and I have connected a couple but want to check that I am doing it correctly.

The connectors are Male in Line these appear to be solderless and crimpless. Source - Maplins.co.uk and E Bay.

Couple of questions on Cable I have RG58 which I have been advised is not suitable for 2.4Ghz RF (To much Loss)
I also have some URM67. This also appears to be not rated for 2.4Ghz use.

Anyone give the best supplier for LMR 400 in the UK?

Many thanks

The connector manufacturers have installation guides.

Thanks for the info, I was in my Garage trying to fit the connectors when I posted this had found the install for Amphenol connectors but these are different and I don't know who made them, bought on E Bay, I have contacted the sellers shop.

They have a fixed male pin and slightly different internal components.

Try the Times-Microwave site. They have several different N connectors, and it might be one of theirs.
