Question Create Your Own Card

I heard that it is possible to build your own USB wireless networking card. Just buy the board(s) and/or chips and build yourself... is this true? And if so, does anyone have any helpful resources?

While it is possible, it is also highy impractical. USB 802.11b dongles are running for less than $25, which is much less that the cost of the raw components at consumer prices.

You'd be surprised how cheaply you can get out-of-work electronics engineers these days, and developers are practically free. I had a few paint my house in exchange for a case of Bawls last week.
