Dell 1150 and XP - NetStumbler.org Forums

olenco Registered Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: Toronto, ON, Canada Posts: 11	Dell 1150 and XP Folks, I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this. I got a Dell TM1150 which one of you said, was a Classic Orinoco card and I am running XP Pro on a Toshiba Sat Pro 6100 which also has an Orinoco mini-PCI card. Both cards work fine on the network but NS stops scanning after a minute or two. Sometimes I can restart it by pressing AutoConfigure and then turning it off. Sometimes this trick does not work. Is this a common problem with XP that will hopefully be fixed in NS 0.3.4? Would this work better with NDIS 5.1 drivers? Do I have the right card? (any other way to identify it?) I just want to be sure. I can wait since I have other software (Unix/Linux are not options for me right at the moment). I would really appreciate if anyone could provide some clues here. Thanks in advance.
