I am planning to mount a rubber duckie antenna to my Dell Inspirion 8200 notebook but want to make it as professional as possible. Here is the plan I've come up with. Mount this connector (rpsma): To this location on the notebook: And using a rubber duckie antenna I took off my dlink ap: In the end if all works out, I'm planning to buy a 5.5 dBi Rubber Duck R-SMA Male Antenna from fab-corp. Any comments anyone? How do these antennas compare to the stock rubber duckies on a dlink access point?
