I have a Dell Latitude 840C and I recently bought one of the Dell Truemobile 1150 Mini-PCI cards which works great. When you get a Dell Notebook, they have built in antennas and there is an antenna cable in the empty Mini-PCI Slot.
When I installed the card, it has you connect the antenna wire to the antenna connector on the card. However, there are TWO connectors there. This is my question, will this card drive two antennas? Could you drill a hole in the Mini-PCI cover, and run a pigtail out for an external antenna? It would really be cool to be able to do that, I just wanted to know if anyone else has tried it or noticed it before. I belive it can be done, just wanted to know if anyone had tried it. |
