Downgrade Orinoco Firmware From 8.XX to 7.52 or older

For the life of me I cannot find any information on someone successffully downgrading their Dell TrueMobile Card to an older version less than 8.xx.
I have a Dell TrueMobile 1150 card and it currently have State Fucntions firmware 8.10. Each time I tried to downgrade, the computer would tell me "No wireless card driver found". I am running windows xp sp2. I would like to downgrade so that I can utilize the monitor mode.

Does anyone have any instructions or sources that they can point me to so that I can downgrade to a lower version firmware. I have tried to hexedit the installer, but was not able to get it to install, same error as above.

I read somewhere that the card cannot be dowgrade to a lower version if you are in windows xp, is that true?
Or that I need a specific driver version for the specific firmware version, is that true?

Any guidance would help.

First I would RUN and change your handle since it implies you will steal DSL (which is NOT free BTW)

Second, a search on Dell's website revealed 134 hits on the phrase "Dell Truemobile 1150 drivers" which proves you are a lazy bastard

Third, a google search got: Results 33,700 for dell truemobile 1150 drivers. (0.13 seconds) which proves you are a LAZY BASTARD!

Forth, You might find the only "Feeding" we do around here is we feed YOU into the Firepit.

How does the dell truemobile 1150 drivers help me with my problem? If you can please elaborate more on this I would really appreciate it. As you can see it's not a simple drivers issue.

I thought I had seen some downgrade instructions in the "Silver to Gold" thread. But it has been a while since I was last in that thread.
