Driver Problem---Please Help

I have been searching and trying for hours and still cannot seem to get my orinoco card to work. I am running windows XP

I bought the card from dell

- orinoco classic gold card

I also purchased a

- ricoh chipset pci - pcmcia adapter

I can't find a driver that works witht the card, is it possible that the adapter is not compatible?

Here is a link with pictures of the hardware if it will help in determining what drivers to use when installing the card.

Please HELP

What OS do you need the drivers for?

You've got an orinoco classic, I think they're compatible with XP

Here's a step by step instalation guide for the card:

1: put the card into your computer
2: wait for windows to notice a new card
3: your card is now installed and ready to use with the drivers provided with windows.

In short, all you have to do is plug it in.

The card and the adapter should be compatible.

Dell should have supplied the correct one with the card. If not, it should be available at the Dell site. Alternately, you can download it from Proxim. Agere also supplies drivers for these cards.

Orinoco should work witch your PCI adapter !

I had tried my Lucent Orinoco Silver witch PCI Adapter on Ricoh chipset from D-Link DWL-500 pack ( Ricoh + PCMCIA DWL-650 ) and Orinoco runs without any problems under WinXP !
What's funny, i couldn't run propertly DWL-650 on this PCI card ... and they are both in the same box DWL-500 ;-)
It's strange ...
DWL-650 is an 3,3v card and I'd read that Ricoh is for 5v cards ... but it has no sense ...

You wouldn't happen to have another pcmcia card would you? If you do plug it in and see what happens. If your computer doesn't do anything your adapter isn't working, go from there.
