Hey everyone,
I did a search for these cards, and apparently they are re-badged Orinoco Silver cards. Can someone confirm that for me? Also, if they are Silver, I heard that it's quite complicated to get them flashed to Gold. I'm not too sure why someone would want to do that. I understand that it ups the WEP encryption, right? But do you need the full Gold encryption? Better question, when would you need the full encryption? Final question, I promise (for now)Would a brand new Enterasys RoamAbout 802.11b card be a good deal at $40 shipped? |

Enterasys, Avaya, Compaq, and Buffalo are all the same basic card based on the Orinocco brand.
Yes that would be a good deal, but check Spoofee for the following: D-Link 802.11b Wireless LAN Adapter Amazon has the D-Link DWL-650 PC Card Type-II 11 Mbps 802.11b Wireless LAN Adapter for $19.99 after a rebate. Just an FYI... |
