Enterasys Roamabout Upgrade help please!
Hi,

I have just purchased a Enterasys Roamabout 802.11 DS with 40bit WEP.

I would like to ansure I maximise the functionality of the card by ensuring I have the latest flash, drivers etc.

Having looked through a few threds I am a little confused as to exactly what I need to do, I am unsure if this card is effectively a Orinoco silver of gold card, it was sold as a gold with the Lucent Hermes chipset.

I guess I would like to know how I can check the chipset and then what is the best way to fo about upgrading the card, it came with the Agere driver version 7.86.18.640

CSIBD-AA high rate 40bit WEP
S/N 310201353679070C
SCCID IMRWLPCE24H

You have a rebranded Orinoco Silver. Search the threads to convert it to Gold.

If you are just using it with NS, it will work fine as a silver card.
