Etrex Legend output Jam

Went out stumbling last night and when I got home I went about processing my logs and noticed something strange.

At one point about halfway through my run, the GPS output jammed on a set of co-ordinates and never changed. About half of the detected AP's are all using the same co-ordinates!

It's very likely that the GPS lost the sat signal at some point, but I'm certain it re-aquired and was tracking properly for the remainder of the trip. Fortunatly it wou'nt be hard to re-trace steps, but it's odd non-the less. A power cycle seems to have fixed it.

I'm using the Garmin protocol off the Etrex Legend and NS 0.3.30 which supports it.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar occurance? Should I just switch back to NMEA?

I had a similar problem sorta.... One time I had my GPS going with a lock, and kismet reported my AP's range as 6400 MILES! Checked the gps file, and one of the coords was right, but the other said 0.00000000.... it only happened with the first AP though... I think they just kinda fuck up sometimes.

On TV the other night I saw a GPS jammer used to turn Smart Bombs into dumb bombs, the jammer is about $4000 and will jam GPS units for 100 miles. Ooh imagine taking that on the DC wardrive for countermeasures!
