ExpressCard/34 Slot cards

Hello all,

I am working on a clients Notebook that only has one expansion slot:

ExpressCard/34

I was wondering perhaps if anyone could help me find a compatible card that works with the ExpressCard/34 interface AND works with Netstumbler.

I have been browsing through the forums for about 3 days now, and I have seen no mention of this card or bus.

Thanks for any help given!

Nope, there is not one made that is compatible. You may find one that might work to an extent, but it wouldn't be reliable.

Hey thanks for the abrupt reply!

Here is what I HAVE found, just from reading other posts....

http://www.duel-systems.com/products/adapters.aspx

I wonder if this has any limitations, such as if you did have a fully compatible card, would it work under the Express bus interface....

I have also seen some recomendations for a USB adapter:

http://www.moonblinkwifi.com/pd_orinoco_80211bg.cfm

Anyone else relate to this USB adapter before I buy? It seems promising, as I have not seen or heard of its Wardriving limitations.

Thanks again!

The internet gods put a search button there for a reason.

Yeah, because very few web forums have a search feature.

I build a small fire on my desk. Paint my face with printer toner. Wrap my head in ribbon cable (EIDE not IDE, although I've been known to use SCSI cable before). Then I sit in my dimly lit office and chant to the NanoGods.

Who says a little Voodoo doesn't help in our jobs?

There are no search in NS forums. They are not in control of any search. I tell you this. It is all a lie. They lie. It is a hollywood movie. You do not believe them.

No, he'll be on the floor drooling all over himself from a self inflicted broken neck.

Come on guys, I am trying to be somewhat serious, just asking for an oppinion...from someone who seems to have a whole lot of experience....

Since I have found my answer, I am happy. but was the "search" ranting really nesecary?

Thanks though, you guys helped alot!
