fab-corp, where are you?
I know this is slightly off-topic and I will probably be criticized for this however has anyone been able to get ahold of Sean from fab-corp or fab-corp in general? I sent him an email a few weeks ago and never got a reply. I know Sean sometimes posts to this messageboard so perhaps he will see this. Is his email address still sean@fab-corp.com ?
On an unrelated note, I just purchased some stuff from Hyperlink Technologies. Ordering process went smooth however I accidently ordered the wrong connector for an antenna (my fault) and will be subject to a 25% restocking fee which I do not necessarily agree with but understand. What I don't get about this 25% restocking fee is that all that merely needs to be done is have a different connector crimped on my antenna and the problem is solved however I am not going to argue with something that is my fault. Maybe I am having bad luck but out of the two pigtails I have purchased from them, one has already broken after extremely limited use. Hopefully they will be "nice" about replacing that. I don't know too much about pigtails but is that one still usable? I can still attach it to my antenna but it will easily come off. -macado Last edited by macado : 01-05-2003 at 01:40 AM. |

I would seriously doubt it. If you search the forums, you would find out that pigtails are VERY fragile so people stock up on these things. Fab-corp probably wont replace it because how can they know if it broke by abuse or if it was a defect?

Lets put it this way, i know pigtails are extremely fragile however this one broke after one one use so its unlikely that is is abuse. It is unlikely that they will probably replace it but its worth a try since it was a defect on their part.

Yeah, unless this was ripped straight out (which would still show signs of damage), it looks like this was a faulty crimp at the n-type end.. not the usual pigtail issue that drains my stumbling budget

The only pigtails we have a problem with are the MC connectors, 99.999% of the time it is because they were inserted or removed at an angle causing the gold pins to bend or break. HOWEVER - I am known for my brothers and sisters of this fourm to fix a MC connector 1 time no charge. But that is not even an MC connector - it is a N Female... if it was ours... PLEASE let me know we WILL indeed fix it. Sean

I looked briefly at my main vendors, and I found a boat load of CF to PCMCIA adapters, but found ZERO, ZIP, NILL, NADDA (shall I go on), PCMCIA to CF adapters. Does anyone else make them?
Also - yes, I take PayPal sean@fab-corp.com is the addy. Sean
