firmware
Hi,
Dunno about stations firmware. Primary firmware is the stuff to handle the basic card functions like presentation to the pcmcia bus etc. The secondary firmware is the code that does the link level stuff and handles the chatting over the wireless interface. Tertiary firmware is code you can load into the user space on wlan cards to run stuff like access point functions rather than having the host computer do it - i.e. stuff like the timing which is fairly critical. Hope that sheds some light on it? regards, mr_wlan |
