Get a new PocketPC?
I got in a car accident a while back and the settlement money should be comming my way soon. With that money i am thinking about getting a "Pigtail" to build an antenna and a new pocketpc. I have two so far that i have picked out, but i wanted everyones opinion for what im going to be using it for.. I currently have the Casiopeia E-125 and it is wonderful, but it is outdated and there isnt much that is supports. I am thinking of either a Casiopeia E-200 or the compaq ipaq H3970 *drool*
Oh yeah i also need a Hermes based card for my pocket pc.. The main things I will use it for is as a stumbler,mp3 player in the car, organizer, contacts and maybe games. I have done a little research and haven't found out what kind of inputs both of them are capable of. I dont know what kind of cards the pocketpc's use for 802.11b so that would be nice too know. I have a garmin etrex so i want to be able too connect through serial and usb too the pocketpc. I have seen a adapter for the E-200 that goes on the bottom. Well i was just curious too see what everyone here thinks. Let me know, sorry it i was kinda rambling. I'm kinda spacy right now teeheehee. -redstar |

i have the casio cassiopeia e-200, very nice machine (got it for $100 through some kind of fuckup at the hardware store i got it from). i just got it like 3 days ago. i have noticed that the wifi cards are pretty expensive and i don't imagine they are capable of reaching more than 300ft without obstructions, 50 with. i could be wrong but if i am then it'll probably be a bit of a drain on the battery. that's probably the only downside to this pda, the battery dies after a few hours of use. i don't think i'd pay $600 for this device though, i'd say go for a sub-notebook of a similair price range.
i'd recommend something like: 13.3" TFT, 600-1500MHz processor, 128MB SDRAM, built-in pcmcia and maybe ethernet good luck
