Getting a pigtail in the UK

Okay, so I'm getting an orinoco card and an antenna (N-Type connector).

Where can I get a pigtail from in the UK? I tried maplin's, they dont have any pigtails at all (apparently), and on doing a search I came up with a website which doesn't show any evidence that this company does the MC type connector for this card.

Is there someone in the UK who is good for this sort of thing? A WiFi specialist perhaps? I've tried google, and eBay, and here and I don't get much.

www.computerguy.co.uk - run by forum member beermuppet, this is an excellant place for all your wardriving needs. I honestly can't reccomend his service enough.

www.solwise.co.uk - are also very good: I've had a good experiance with them.

www.wirelesspro.co.uk - seem good, but, I've not had too much to do with them, so I couldn't say for sure.

All the above will be able to sell you what you desire.

Would beermuppet give NS forum members a discount?

I don't know if it works like that around here, but another forum I used to frequent had a deal like that going on with a supplier.

Well, that's something you're going to have to ask him. He's a proper good guy though, you should shop with him whether he offers you a discount or not.

I certainly will. I've had a look around the site, theres some good stuff in there!

The only specialised wardriving shop I've seen in the UK... perhaps I've not looked hard enough.

I did a google.co.uk search for "wardriving" today, his site was pretty close to the top of the list. I guess you just didn't look hard enough

Yeah, his is the only shop I've seen run by someone that understands wardriving. I've had troubles with other suppliers who have accussed me of trying to break the law...

Unfortunatly, a beermuppet post is hard to come by these days.

Uh-huh. I think I got blineded by the tens of "Hacker gets 9 years for wardriving!" pages that come up... I think by the second page I gave up all hope of useful results

I've just bought a desktop 5dBi antenna from wirelesspro.co.uk and another from fab-corp. I'll let you know how it goes. I was impressed that you can use PayPal at both stores.
