I stupidly purchased a Magellan GPS3000XL on ebay without first researching the product. Come to find out that this is an old unit and in order to hook it up to the laptop, I need a power/data or power/data/antenna module. However Magellan no longer sells these units.
Does anybody know where I can obtain them? The part numbers are "00-19043-000" OR "00-69007-000" Also, in case I cannot find the required modules, what units would everybody reccomend, for the sole purpose of stumbling? The cheaper the better. |

Two places to check for the parts are hiking/technical climbing sport stores and marine stores. Both always seem to have Magellan parts tucked away in old corners.
Failing that, Rat Shack sells a $99 GPS puck.

What is weird is that they aren't in the RS online store, and I haven't seen them in the catalog. Its not clear if they are discontinued. |
