Had Enough - Need Help
Guys feel free to flame away, but for the last 3 hours I've been searching my ass off trying to find an answer to what should be a damn easy question. Please, no you didn't search too hards did you
![]() I've read all those posts that tell others to go and read the "supported cards" list. Well I've downloaded the latest NS and I can't for the life of me find it anywhere to read. So if anyone would be kind enough to just give me a one liner reply I'd be really grateful. Question: I want a PCI (not PCMCIA) Wi-Fi card with an external antenna so I can mount other antenna's as required. Can you PLEASE suggest a suitable card for me - NS supported obviously. Thanks a heap. |

If you read the readme, there's a link to that page near the top somewhere. As for a card? There's been a lot of talk about it lately, but, I can't remember any specifics, sorry dude.

Good call. Buy a convertor with a RICOH chipset for best performance. FAB corp sells these.

Thankyou for your answers guys. A few lines of simple information can make a big difference.
I'm looking into your suggestions as I type, but do you really think this is the way to go (PCMCIA converters, et al) or rather to just stick with a straight PCI card. To be honest I'd prefer to stick with the latter if I possibly can. |

Don't bother trying, you can't....
NS and many of the other Wi-Fi security tools do not work with PCI based Wi-Fi Radios. Besides, if you ever wanted to change out the cards for a New spec./etc. then you will need to replace the entire card. Where as with the "Normal" solution you just hit the eject button on the Card, pop the old card (PCMCIA) and insert the new one.
