Haicom 303e Review
Thought I would give some back to the forum...
There are some using said device- but no formal endorsement. And, no I am not Mr. Haicom. Recently picked up a Haicom 303e... Yes its got the evermore chipset.... 303mmf has the SiRF Star IIeLP (better- less power consumption). Haicom site is- www.haicom.com.tw/products.htm But- 50 bucks cheaper may buy you beers for a nite. 303e $100, 303mmf $150 Check buygpsnow for pricing. (they treated me right) Anyway, it's a mouse, cf card, with adapter- pcmcia, and can blue tooth it (with adapter). Works with my laptop (pos vaio p2 300), ipaq 3835, etc. No special setup- just works- with Netstumbler/Mini. That's it ... still testing. |

One last thing-
It comes with a serial adapter which is undocumented and made me happy- no usb out of the box. I had to buy the auto adapter for ipaq ($20). No one seemed to know that it was WAAS enabled until I mentioned it. Typical tech support. Docs are marginal and contradictory somewhat. All and all a well rounded gps solution (so far). Haicom stumbled on to a good product (pun intentional). |

I've had mine since December and love it. The folding feature is very cool, it gets connected super quick and never seems to lose signal. Highly recommended.
I got mine from Semsons at www.semsons.com great deal and they give you a free Arkon dash mount PDA holder.
