What kind of device are you running Netstumbler on?

I don't know that there is a "compatibility" list for GPS receivers. Perhaps others can comment, but any GPS that supports NMEA should theoretically work.

WOW! other then being very €€€, I don't see why they won't work.
Might want to look at port shareing software too, it's always nice to have a mapping proggie and NS running

Think some people have issues with Hilux? and NS, might be platform dependant. But other then that, NEMA 4800 8-N-1= Happy NS (mostly)

Hi folks - thanks for the replies. I actually thought the price was ok, from an Irish perspective. But of course everything is expensive in Ireland, so I guess I'm used to it.

if I was to order from Ebay, more than likely I'll get stung by customs and they'll add on some magical amount. Only last month I bought a part for my car costing $30, Irish customs charged me a further €30 in taxes. Which means, my taxes were more expensive than the actual part !

I get that with shipping. Nothing like paying $30 in shipping for a $12 part.

Maybe if you didn't live in the middle of frozen tundra, shipping would be cheaper.

Yup, it seems Barry has forgotten what the price is for pemmican and frozen dogfood for the driver and dogs. I mean just look at the costs for a team to participate in the Iditarod run, and they aren't even transporting something from point A to point B...

Sure they are, they are pulling the dufus standing on the sled behind them. The finish line is about a quarter mile from my work. If I stand on the roof I can see it.

There you go.. Just ask the dufus to bring the $12 part next time.. After all $30 saved is 30 bucks worth of extra beer...

Do you have any idea how much work and expense is involved in getting the abominable snowman a commercial driver's license to drive a UPS truck?

The idea of using packmoose also failed miserably.
