help needed to make linksys wpc54g external antenna/pigtail
Hi all, I am in japan here and bored out of my skull, have a couple of these WPC54G cards (revision 1.2) and thought I would try my hand at soldering some coaxial to attach to an external antenna.
I've searched the forums as well as the FCC site, but didn't find anything that helped. here's a pic of the PCB: HIGH RES PICTURE My guess is to just solder to the ground and the antenna point but those are just guesses I'm really not sure what those points are precisely any information or insight is greatly appreciated by the way, I did a cursory test by touching the contacts with the antenna cable I have and my reception seemed to go up from 66% to 100% but results were inconsistant and I would really like to know the nitty=gritty behind the PCB details before I go ahead and solder. thanks neal Last edited by nzimmers : 04-27-2005 at 09:38 AM. |
