HF Rf "catching". airiels.
Hi being a lazy git I was thinking of using a Satellite dish instead of a roll your own..as an airiel..
if they work at 30000 km. Up the road should be ok.. Just thinking about this before i get stuck in.. Tell me if im wastin my time or worth a stab..as the front end..dish freq seems about few GHz typically. NvAdAr |

You could use almost any satellite dish 2ft, 4ft, 6ft, 8ft and so forth. It's the feed horn in front that determines the frequency and the size of the dish that determines the gain. So take that project for the Primestar conversion (copy the feed horn) and make sure you put the little can at the focal point of the new dish. (where the other feed horn was located before) I'm assuming it is surplus. That is a pretty simplified discription.
