Question How fragile are MC connectors?

I just bought a Proxim Orinoco Classic Gold, along with a 12 inch ORiNOCO/Avaya to N-Male Pigtail from fab-corp. I've heard the MC jack on the card could easily be broken? Should I avoid taking it out? I can live with that, but there's no way I can avoid the pigtail head rotating inside the jack.

Also, I feel stupid for asking this but I bought an Antennex yagi antenna, and the plastic cap on the top stays on, correct?

Yes they can break, but if you are only worried about the rotation, then a bit of insulation tape wrapped around the cable and connector to hold it in place works for me

The connectors get worn from removing, twisting, or flexing them. The four little tab for the ground of the connector also can break. I had a new card and pigtail. The first pigtail lasted a year. The second lasted a month before it broke the pin off in the card shorting the connector out, so neither the internal antenna or the external connector worked. It got removed about once a week, and I was careful on the connector, not on the wire.
