I finally bought a "real" GPS!
Last night I finally bit the bullet and bought a real GPS. I got the Garmin eTrex Legend. I got the monochrome version, bundled with cig-lighter power cable, data cable and topo maps. It's SWEET! Now maybe I can start that task of wardriving all of DC

That's the one I have, really nice. The suction cup mount doesn't work when it gets really cold, but you shouldn't have that problem that far south.
