Information for the hackers out there.
the new tiny earthmate usb will output on both USB and serial at the same time..
I have one and found the pinout and added the 3 wires for a serial connection, Led 1 - gnd 2 - usbd+ 3 - usbd- 4 - +5v 5 - rxd 6 - txd 7 - dtr 8 - +5v 9 - gnd 10 - unknown 11 - unknown 12 - shield I ran pin 5 of the gps to pin 3 of the pc serial port pin 6 to pin 2 of the serial port pin 9 to pin 5 if your going to use serial only connect pin 7 of the gps to pin 4 of the pc port. 4800 baud 8,n,1 no handshaking. and connect +5v to either pin 8 or pin 4 of the gps and poof ![]() I can run both NS and Delorme street atlas.. I load NS, and then delorme, and then click start gps in delorme and I see the location change in NS, and in Delorme ![]() |
